This month’s featured guest is Mark Bathrick, a nationally recognized aviation expert and one of the most influential figures in government drone integration.
Spotlight on “The Elephant in the Airspace”
This episode will center on Mark Bathrick’s recent article, “The Elephant in the Airspace,” published by Commercial UAV News. In the article, Bathrick addresses critical questions about U.S. drone policy, airspace access, and the slow pace of integration for uncrewed aircraft in public safety and commercial operations.
With decades of experience across manned and unmanned aviation, Bathrick offers a powerful perspective on what’s holding the industry back—and what it will take to move forward. His insights are especially relevant for public safety agencies seeking to expand drone use beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) and into more complex mission sets.
