Zendaya took high-low dressing to a new level on Wednesday when she attended a “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” photo call in Paris wearing luxury Christian Louboutin pumps with an affordable vintage T-shirt from eBay.

After wearing a series of designer looks ranging from a custom Louis Vuitton gown to archival Versace to promote the next “Spider-Man” movie alongside her partner Tom Holland, Zendaya and her longtime stylist Law Roach decided to switch things up by going for the most casual look there is: an oversize T-shirt. She wore a vintage Spider-Man shirt, sourced from eBay for $34.99, as shared by Roach himself via Instagram story with the caption “Style doesn’t always have to cost a fortune @ebay.” The black and red shirt features the Marvel superhero in one of his signature poses.
With the oversize shirt serving as a minidress on Zendaya, the simplicity of her outfit allowed her footwear to stand out all the more; her Louboutins served as a luxury counterpoint to her inexpensive T-shirt. She showcased the brand’s Miss Z pump in white, a silhouette that came out at the beginning of 2025 and was rumored to be inspired by her given her close association with the brand. (Roach had her start wearing So Kates in her earlier teenage years, and it became her go-to formal shoe.)
A representative for the French footwear label, however, told FN via email around the time of the rumors, “The Miss Z collection was designed and developed with Gen Z in mind as the Maison’s latest pump design, following our Pigalle and So Kate styles.”

Zendaya appeared to be wearing a glossy patent leather white pair of the Miss Z pump. From the Christian Louboutin website, the 120 mm pump in patent calf leather in the shade Bianco retails for $1,045 — a steep difference in comparison with the $34.99 T.

Christian Louboutin has been key to Zendaya’s “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” press wardrobe so far. On Tuesday in Rome, she wore a customized version of the So Kate pump, which the brand confirmed to FN, with glittering strass detailing all over to accompany her on-theme archival Giorgio Armani gown with a spiderweb design.
