Deion Sanders‘ line of Nike sneakers has featured several colorways nodding to his time playing for the Atlanta Falcons and Braves, but never with as much sheen as the pair previewed by “Prime Time” himself Monday.
The Nike Air DT Proto ’92 ATL features bright red patent leather, marking the first time high-gloss material has been used on one of his sneakers. The standout look continues with an all-red sole unit, and the only deviations in color come from a white pebbled leather Swoosh and gold mesh window. White laces are also included, but so too is a red option to continue the bold look. Removable bling then comes in the form of a gold-tone metal “Prime” charm.
While close to Sanders’ first signature sneaker, the Air Diamond Turf, this model is actually a slightly different prototype that never released until 2025, hence the “Proto” in its name. The changes are modest, as the Swoosh moves from atop the strap to the shoe’s lateral side and with “Nike” text taking its previous place. Sanders’ dual-sport logo is also simplified for a new application on the heel pull.
An even more red take on Sanders’ third sneaker, the Air DT Max ’96, dropped for Mother’s Day last year as a tribute to his mom Connie.
Sanders revealed the new patent leather treatment in an Instagram post, and said they “ain’t coming for a minute.” He also teased an upcoming drop with his son Shedeur involved likely to consist of the recently debuted Air Max DT ’96 Low.
