Browns coach Todd Monken already sounds exhausted by Browns QB competition

Wednesday was the second day of OTAs for the Cleveland Browns, and the first day that members of the media could observe practice.

It did not go too well, at least for the quarterbacks.

Yes, the Browns have four passers vying for the starting job: Deshaun Watson, Shedeur Sanders, Dillon Gabriel, and rookie Taylen Green. Who ends up winning that job is likely going to be the major Browns storyline to follow in Cleveland this summer.

And judging by new head coach Todd Monken’s comments after practice, it might be a long summer. Cleveland journalist Camryn Justice shared this clip of Monken’s post-practice media session, where he had some tough words for the performance she saw from the quarterbacks on Wednesday:

Of course, there is a lot of context behind those words. It was just the second day of OTAs, there is a long way to go until the season begins, and often during the start to a season the defenses are ahead of where the offenses are on the field, given the timing that goes into getting the passing game right.

So it is absolutely not time to panic yet for Browns fans.

Even if their coach already sounds exhausted.
