Victor Solomon x Nike Air Max 90 ‘Trophies’ Release Date IR2074-002

After releasing a three-sneaker “Trophies” collection adorned with gemstones and gold chains in white for NBA All-Star Weekend, Nike and artist Victor Solomon are running it back with the same three iconic models, this time rendered in black.

The Victor Solomon x Nike Trophies collection in black includes the Air Foamposite One, Air Force 1 and Air Max 90, the last of which is highlighted here. Each pair in the collection has been given similar luxe treatments, with the unifying detail being their gold chain shoelaces and basketball-shaped lace lock charms. 

The trio’s Air Max 90 shines particularly bright thanks to the addition of gemstones, which flood both the lateral and medial Swoosh logos for a glitzy look. A mixture of smooth black leather and textile fills in the rest of the upper, with the artist’s signature embroidered in gold on the heel tab. A leather liner continues the premium feel, and the sneaker also comes packaged with alternate standard shoelaces and protective dust bags. 

Along with the Air Max 90 highlighted here, the black Trophies collection also includes a paisley-patterned Air Foamposite One and Air Force 1 complete with dimensional metallic gold Swoosh logos. Those models are priced at $350 and $250, respectively.

While the Air Max 90 may not carry the same consistent buzz as models like the Air Max 95, the pair is a staple of the Air Max legacy nonetheless. It’s recently been released in notable styles including croc-adorned variations and was previewed at men’s Paris Fashion Week in a new square-toe build.

Curiously, Nike’s official descriptions for Salomon’s latest Trophies collaboration do not make any explicit mention of WNBA All-Star Weekend, however the launch timing of the shoes will take place just days before the event.

The Victor Solomon x Nike Air Max 90 Trophies black will be released Wednesday at 10 a.m. ET from Nike’s Snkrs app for $250. The sneaker’s style code is IR2074-002.
