Hollywood’s curl-aissance continues.
Teyana Taylor, the new face of Revlon, was among the many A-list attendees at the 2026 Billboard Women in Music event on Wednesday who silently protested straight ends with free-flowing coils on the magenta carpet. Others included Kehlani, Tyla, Kali Uchis and Towa Bird.

Dressed in a corseted two-piece gown with a shredded chiffon skirt from Ashi Studio’s spring 2026 couture collection, Taylor swapped her pixie for a long curly mane. Paired with the dainty dress, the wild style, which was likely crafted by celebrity artist Edith Donaldson, evoked a certain kind of medieval femininity, like Merida from “Brave.”

Though Donaldson has yet to be credited for Taylor’s curls on Wednesday, she was responsible for crafting the exact hairdo for her on Tuesday at the Maison Valentino and Alessandro Michele “Specula Mundi” book launch in Los Angeles. Here, she donned a custom black Valentino gown with draping and silver embroidery that moved over her left hip and into her midsection.

The “One Battle After Another” star wouldn’t be the only one to take the coiled texture for a test drive these days. Amid a wider affinity for curls now, a slew of celebrities have embraced their frizz, including Priyanka Chopra, Odessa A’zion, Connor Storrie and Chase Infiniti. At Billboard, Cara Delevingne notably let her natural hair do its thing, styling it in a high ponytail with finely cut fringe. Meanwhile, next to her, Keke Palmer defied the trend and instead painted her pixie in sunset hues. A kaleidoscope of pink, orange and red, the multidimensional color accentuated the hot pink shadow on her lids, under her eyes and over her cheekbones.

Taylor sported a similar eye-catching cut and color during weekend one of Coachella. Clad in a chainmail ensemble from Revolve, the artist went from her trademark jet-black-pin curl aesthetic to straight, auburn ends.
Elsewhere in the Coachella lineup, Addison Rae updated her caramel-colored ends with chili pepper coloring akin to FKA Twigs. Both artists also played with bold lips and silver hues on their eyes, capturing the burgeoning revival of playful glam on arguably the biggest stage in festival season.
