Taylor Swift is toying with her style.
The 36-year-old Grammy-winning artist updated her straight, muddy blond hair with a hidden detail at the “Toy Story 5” premiere in Los Angeles on Tuesday night, celebrating her new track, “I Knew It, I Knew You,” featured in the film.

From the front, Swift appeared to keep with her everyday aesthetic: hair down and bangs trimmed over her brows. But a slight turn to the right, revealed one, two-inch braid loosely tied and tucked behind her ear. The subtle embellishment pulled the majority of her face-framing layers off her cheek, calling attention to diamond-encrusted hoop earring.

Posing alongside Casey Walden — daughter of Dana Walden, the president and chief creative officer of Disney — and producer Asma El-Fassi, it was evident just how brunette Swift has become. What once was a mop of bleach blond ringlets is now a melting pot of caramel and honey brown, thanks to Swift’s longtime hairstylist Jemma Muradian, whose client roster also includes Sara Bareilles.
For makeup, the “Midnights” vocalist tapped celebrity artist Lorrie Turk, who famously enlivened her beauty in “The Life of a Showgirl” album cover shoot. The glam wasn’t anything too out of the ordinary, comprised of a Millennial-coded wing and red lip, of course.

Swift did, however, take a slight sartorial risk, donning a whimsy, patchwork Erdem minidress with a corset and an unfinished bottom trim. Styled by Joseph Cassell Falconer, the design also featured off-the-shoulder sleeves and multicolored floral embroidery scattered down the middle. For shoes, Falconer fitted her in brown satin, open toe heels by Aleví Milano.

Elsewhere on the ruby red carpet, Greta Lee paid homage to beloved cowgirl, Jessie, brought to life by Joan Cusack all five films, wearing a red and white spherical, one-shoulder gown plucked straight from the Christian Dior spring 2026 couture runway. She also continued her mid-length micro fringe era, cut and styled by Jenny Cho. Micro bangs have climbed the ladder of virality as of late, finding their place on almost every major red carpet for the last year.
