Queen Camilla took her Fiona Clare wildlife print dress to the zoo on Thursday, then tamed the animal theme with one of her most reliable footwear formulas: a low neutral Eliot Zed wedge.

Camilla wore Eliot Zed’s Becki Textured Beige for a visit to London Zoo with King Charles III, where the couple celebrated the 200th anniversary of the Zoological Society of London. The wedge court shoe was crafted with Italian textured suede featuring perforated detailing on the vamp along with a modest rubber wedge. A slim brown welt line sat between the upper and wedge base, while the strongest contrast came from the white serrated outsole. With a 3.5 cm wedge, Camilla had a walkable lift for pavement, zoo paths and animal enclosures.

She paired the neutral silhouette with a Fiona Clare ensemble fit for the occasion, a collared white midi dress she previously wore at the 2025 Wimbledon Championships. The dress had three-quarter sleeves, a buttoned bodice, waist tie and softly flared skirt, with small wildlife illustrations throughout. She also carried a cream parasol for the sunny visit to Penguin Beach.

Her return to Eliot Zed kept the look in a familiar royal shoe lane. At Royal Ascot in June, Camilla closed the meeting in sand suede Eliot Zed pumps with a bespoke honey heel after three consecutive days in Chanel. In April, she wore black suede Eliot Zed pumps with a black leather cap toe for the Queen Elizabeth Memorial design viewing. Across the three appearances, Camilla has stayed close to closed toes, modest height and neutral finishes.
The Becki courts were not sandals, but Camilla’s choice matched the quieter side of this summer’s wedge revival: lower, cleaner and more pared-back than the cork-heavy styles associated with earlier wedge eras.

The outing marked King Charles’ first tour of London Zoo as ZSL’s royal patron, though the royal has had close ties to the zoo since his childhood. The science-driven conservation charity behind London Zoo is celebrating 200 years in 2026, and the couple also used stethoscopes during a penguin health check and met a Galápagos tortoise named Polly.
