Queen Camilla Does Fiona Clare Feathers for London Outing

Queen Camilla revived another Fiona Clare Aldridge dress for her Wednesday engagement with St Mungo’s on Wednesday in London.

The United Kingdom’s queen consort wore a navy dress from the British designer with a printed feather pattern. The array of feathers added pops of color to the dress, with muted, earthy tones like soft browns and golds and more featured throughout.

The Fiona Clare midi frock was designed with Queen Camilla’s signature silhouette, crafted with long sleeves and a hemline below the knees with a slightly open neckline. As for accessories, Queen Camilla sported her go-to Van Cleef & Arpels bracelets.

Though Queen Camilla has been on a recent streak of monochrome moments from Peter Phillips’ wedding to the Chelsea Pensioner’s Founder’s Day celebrations, patterned dresses have never been far out of the queen consort’s wheelhouse.

More recently, Queen Camilla wore a peacock print dress from her royal wardrobe, a rewear she’s sported in the past, while spending time with children from the Dreams and Wishes organization at Clarence House on June 3.

This particular feather dress, however, has been in Queen Camilla’s rotation for years. She was seen wearing her Wednesday frock years ago at the height of the global COVID-19 pandemic while continuing her royal engagements.

Fiona Clare Aldridge’s designs are often a go-to for the United Kingdom’s queen consort, who regularly turns to the couturier along with another British designer, Anna Valentine, for her public royal engagements.

Wednesday’s outing in London saw Queen Camilla meeting with residents and staff who are connected to a shared reading program support by The Queen’s Reading Room. St Mungo’s homelessness charity, founded in 1969, has for the past 56 years supported people as they rebuild their lives at Olympia Exhibition Centre.
