Marilyn Monroe would turn 100 on June 1 this year, and Nine West is celebrating the late actress’ centennial birthday with a dazzling footwear collection inspired by her iconic onscreen moments.

The Nine West x Marilyn Monroe collection was created as a modern homage to Old Hollywood glamour, embodying confidence and femininity through a range of designs featuring sparkle and flair.
The collection features the Marilyn Monroe Glamour Rhinestone Pumps and Marilyn Monroe Talent Platform Rhinestone Sandals, both priced at $129, and the Marilyn Monroe Vixxie Slingback Sandals and Marilyn Monroe Ankle Wrap Satin Sandals, both marked at $109.

In addition to Nine West, myriad other brands are celebrating Marilyn Monroe’s 100th birthday. “Marilyn Monroe 100: The Official Centenary Book” by ACC Art Books is among the list of products honoring the upcoming milestone, in addition to a Brooks Brothers lineup and Noon & Moon china set, to name two other examples. Last year, Nine West’s parent company Authentic Brands Group, the steward of Marilyn Monroe’s estate, partnered with Pantone to launch a signature color palette for Monroe ahead of the anniversary.
When it comes to footwear, the actress was strongly associated with Ferragamo pumps, helping to popularize the Italian designer. She also had a pair of clear block heels which she would reinvent with different colored ribbons to match a range of outfits.
