Nike Air Max 95 Big Bubble Tech: Available Now IH7853-200

Ever since its arrival at retail last spring, Nike’s remastered Air Max 95 Big Bubble has been largely unaltered. There have been a handful of one-off collaborations and reissues of past variations, but the releases have largely leaned toward classic looks and familiar colorways. Now, it looks like Nike is ready to experiment more as one of the biggest modifications to the model thus far has just been quietly released at retail. 

The Nike Air Max 95 Big Bubble Tech updates the retro running shoe with new upper materials, eschewing the typical gradient suede construction for a no-sew synthetic build. The model’s signature anatomy-inspired layered panels are represented through raised lines, while a durable rubberized material adds protection at the toe. 

These no-sew touches extend to the sneaker’s typically embroidered mini Swoosh logo and tongue badge, which are fused to the upper rather than stitched. Altogether, the changes result in a sleeker, more streamlined version of the mid-1990s runner.

Nike has made the remastered Air Max 95 Big Bubble a focus of its sportswear division following the refreshed model’s April 2025 introduction. Highlights have included releases and restocks of popular original colorways including the sneaker’s flagship Neon look and more recently, a collaboration with UK skate brand Palace which led to arrests and ultimately, a cancellation of its NYC launch. 

Debuting stateside in Medium Ash/Wolf Grey/Metallic Silver/Steam (style code IH7853-200) and Black/Iron Grey/Metallic Silver/University Blue (style code IH7853-002) colorways, the Air Max 95 Big Bubble Tech has also been released in a third style, Black/Wolf Grey/Smoke Grey/Metallic Silver (style code IH7853-001), in select markets.
