Nike Air Force 1 Low ‘Sunflower’ Release Date IW1256-299

After draping its classic Air Force 1 model in fall leaves and springtime cherry blossoms, Nike’s iconic sneaker is getting ready for summer with yet another timely colorway featuring a fully removable shroud cover.

This time, the Air Force 1 Low activates full summertime mode with a thin sunflower-patterned shroud draped over the retro basketball shoe. Not only does the removable layer sport sunflower graphics, but it features flower-shaped cutouts throughout for a three-dimensional effect. 

While the previous shrouded Air Force 1s featured premium suede bases underneath, the upcoming summer-timed style switches things up with a sesame-colored canvas build that’s  reminiscent of the Linen treatment seen on the sneaker in March 2025. 

Beyond their bold graphic styling, what makes Nike’s series of shrouded Air Force 1s even more unique is that wearers can choose to customize them to their liking. The delicate nature of the shroud is designed to naturally wear away and shed with use, allowing for a truly one-of-a-kind result. Or, for those without the patience to achieve the look naturally, the cover can simply be removed by unlacing the sneaker.

Despite Nike chief executive officer Elliott Hill signaling reduced production of the brand’s ubiquitous Air Force 1, Air Jordan 1 and Dunk sneakers, the Air Force 1 in particular doesn’t appear to have experienced any major supply cut as of yet. Nike frequently introduces new styles of the model on a near-weekly basis including a recent revamped iteration which mimics the Air Force 1’s 2001 mold.

The Nike Air Force 1 Low Sunflower is set to arrive on nike.com and at select retailers this summer for a retail price of $125. The sneaker’s full colorway is Sesame/White/Hemp/Natural and its style code is IW1256-299.
