GloRilla Goes Golden Hour in Crystal Steve Madden Sandals at 2026 AMAs

GloRilla kept the 2026 American Music Awards in a full yellow-gold palette Sunday night, pairing a custom Baba Jagne look with crystal-covered Steve Madden sandals at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

The rapper, who attended the AMAs as a presenter and later joined Ludacris onstage to present Song of the Summer to BTS for their single “Swim,” wore Steve Madden’s Nylie sandals in Gold Multi, an under-$100 embellished sandal that kept her look in the same golden hour hue.

The shimmering sandals featured a square open toe, a slim stiletto heel and high-shine straps lined with large crystal-like stones. An embellished strap crossed over the toes, while another crystal-trimmed strap angled over the top of the foot and connected to a thin ankle strap.

She kept the rest of the styling in the same summery palette. The “Wanna Be” rapper wore a bright yellow Baba Jagne set with a bandeau-style top and sculptural looped straps that curved from the neckline around the bust. She paired it with a low-slung fitted skirt wrapped across the hips and cut to the floor, with a small train behind her. She added layered body chains at the waist, a metallic sculptural clutch, stacked bracelets, rings and oversize drop earrings. The look was styled by EJ King.

The AMAs shoe choice also marked a cleaner, more evening-driven turn from the rapper’s recent music-awards footwear. At the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards in September, she wore black peep-toe platform pumps with scrunched white socks and chain-detailed straps, putting her in the same socks-and-heels trend from fall 2025 as Ciara, Lori Harvey and Simone Ashley.

That shift made sense on a carpet that ran the gamut in terms of statement footwear, from Teyana Taylor’s gradient python Christian Louboutin Miss Z pumps to Fergie’s Rick Owens Spartan Kiss Gladiator platforms. Ahead, take a look at some of the standout shoe moments from the 2026 American Music Awards.
