Ducks of a Feather x Nike Total 90 ‘Beautiful Game’ Release Date

As the World Cup’s Round of 32 heats up, brands continue to make the most of the opportunity with new themed product drops and activations. And while the University of Oregon’s soccer program may not be the most prestigious sport at the school, its Ducks of a Feather (DOAF) NIL brand is getting in on the action with an extremely limited-edition iteration of Nike’s nostalgic Total 90 sneaker.

The DOAF x Nike Total 90 “Beautiful Game” embodies the sport’s nickname through a kaleidoscope-like mix of multicolor shades intended to represent the multinational reach of the World Cup. The shoe’s upper gets a radical redesign, shifting away from the glossy leathers and metallics typically seen on the shoe for a woven construction across the majority of the upper. Each woven multicolor sheet is cut randomly, meaning no two pairs of the sneaker will be alike.

According to a press release, the colors of the DOAF x Nike Total 90 Beautiful Game represent the flags and cultures of the World Cup’s host nations. 

Reflective accents, custom DOAF branding and gold-tipped shoelaces further separate the style from a typical Total 90, and there’s also a glow-in-the-dark rubber outsole which livens the shoe up at night. And on the medial section, which is rendered in suede, “26” embroidery replaces the model’s usual 90 branding. 

DOAF’s 2026 Nike collaborations have not only been plentiful, but timely. A two-style Air Max 95 Big Bubble pack was released to celebrate Air Max Day, while a Tokyo-exclusive Air Max 1 was launched to coincide with the Tokyo Oregon Football Showcase. And the NIL imprint also recently worked on one of Nike’s most futuristic new sneakers, the GT Future. 

The DOAF x Nike Total 90 is limited to only 300 pairs worldwide and will be released exclusively from GOAT on July 14. As usual with Nike’s DOAF releases, proceeds from sales will benefit participating University of Oregon student athletes. Retail pricing has not yet been confirmed.
