Demi Lovato Kicks Off Euro Summer In Desigual Thong Sandals in Ibiza

Demi Lovato attended the launch of the “Desigual Vintage” new collection and the party to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the first Desigual store at The Farm on Tuesday in Ibiza, Spain. It was only right that the singer arrived at the event decked out in the brand’s clothing and footwear, and she opted for a trendy thong sandal.

The “Cool for the Summer” singer, showed off her foot tattoos, which say “Let Go” on the left and “Let God” on the right, with the Desigual Heeled Sandals, which are made with a slightly cracked leather effect. The shoes retail for $239. The sandals are made with a heart-shaped design on the high heel and thin straps that cover the instep and ankle.

They are made in a faux leather effect with side buckle fastening and a high conical heel that measures around three inches. The thong strap connects to another horizontal strap mid-foot, creating a T-bar-like design. The shoes are finished with a contemporary square toe.

She paired the trendy shoe style with a sleeveless knitted dress, also from Desigual. The top of the dress features an off-center high turtleneck in solid black that is connected to a midi skirt with a multicolored geometric print in contrast.

The dress features a flattering straight fit with a knotted detail at the hip creating a delicate draped effect. The piece is currently on sale at 40 percent off, and retailing for $101. Lovato, who attended the event with her husband Jordan Lutes, leaned into the “clean girl” aesthetic for the event, wearing minimal makeup and showing off her glowing, glass skin with her hair slicked back into a tight bun.

Thomas Meyer created Desigual in 1984 in the Barcelona neighborhood of El Raval. Spanish graphic designer, illustrator and sculptor, Peret, sketched the brand’s first logo, while architect Tonet Sunyer designed the first Desigual store in Ibiza’s port in 1986, a moment the brand is now celebrating 40 years later.
