Agua by Agua Bendita, the Colombian luxury ready-to-wear house founded by Catalina Álvarez and Mariana Hinestroza, is collaborating with Marchanta as the official cohost of Marchanta Out East, a luxury retail and cultural experience taking place Aug. 4 through Sept. 8 in East Hampton, N.Y.
Located at 62 Newtown Lane, the pop-up will feature Latin American designers, artisans and creators celebrating craftsmanship, culture and contemporary design through an elevated retail experience.
Marchanta, which was founded by Raylin Diaz, creative director, in the Dominican Republic creates collectible sculptural objects and fragrances inspired by the cultural richness of the Caribbean.
Curated by Díaz, the monthlong experience will spotlight Agua by Agua Bendita’s ready-to-wear and resort collections that are inspired by Latin America‘s landscapes and culture, alongside such brands as Marchanta, Donde Esteban, Monica Varela, Arthur Vallin, Parme Marin, Aedes de Venustas, Marmotech, and a specialty coffee experience by Rhythm Zero.
The partnership reflects Agua by Agua Bendita’s continued commitment to championing Latin American creativity beyond fashion.
“For us, this partnership is about much more than creating a retail experience,” said Álvarez and Hinestroza, who founded Agua by Agua Bendita, in 2018, in a statement. “It’s an opportunity to celebrate the extraordinary creativity, craftsmanship and cultural richness of Latin America while bringing people together throughout the summer season in the Hamptons.”
The pop-up will host a series of events and cultural programming throughout August.
“From the very beginning, Agua by Agua Bendita was the natural partner for this experience,” said Díaz. “We share a deep respect for craftsmanship, storytelling, and the extraordinary native heritage of Latin America. Bringing our communities together in East Hampton is an opportunity to celebrate not only exceptional design, but also the artisans and cultures that inspire everything we create.”
