Red, white and blue (denim) is trending this summer.
The Kontoor Brands-owned Wrangler launched the Americana Collection last week in preparation for the Fourth of July and the United States Semiquincentennial.
“Since 1947, Wrangler has been an integral part of the American story, it’s denim that has been through it all and worn by generations. This capsule celebrates 250 years of the American story with classic jeans, iconic details, and americana colors that feel sun-faded and familiar from the very first wear,” the brand stated.
The heritage denim brand’s U.S. roots are on full display across the men’s, women’s and accessories line with styles featuring stars and stripes patterns, bandana and wild horse prints and a bold red, white and blue color palette.
In a previous interview with SJ Denim, Holly Wheeler, Kontoor Brands vice president of global brand marketing, said celebrating the Semiquincentennial with special products is a natural fit for the U.S. brand.

Wrangler’s Americana Collection
“America’s 250th is a once-in-a-generation national milestone, and for a heritage brand, there’s something fitting about marking a moment of that magnitude by celebrating where you’ve been. The Americana collection does both, it honors that legacy while signaling where Wrangler is headed,” she said.
The women’s line spans ringer tees, crochet tanks, corset snap dresses, shirt vests and smocked dresses. The Wrangler x 250 Years of America Mid-Length Cowboy Short in Mid Indigo and Retro Bailey High Rise Flare Jean have an Americana print on the inner pockets and special “Wrangler U.S.A.” back waistband patches.
The Reworked Short and Bailey Flare Jean are reimagined with an archival Americana patchwork print inspire by the ’70s.

The men’s collection offers two Performance Shirts—a red, white and blue colorblock style and a light blue style with the Wrangler logo on the left sleeve and an American flag patch on the right. Other button-down shirts tap into the brand’s cowboy legacy including the Lone Star Brushpopper Western Snap Workshirt in patriotic stripes and a vintage-inspired Stars and Stripes Western Snap Shirt in indigo.
The Wrangler x 250 Years of America Regular Fit Jean in Mid Indigo also has inner pockets with an Americana print and Wrangler U.S.A. back waistband patches.
Accessories span a wallet and steerhead buckle gift set, a star embroidered leather belt, a bandana print tote bag and a plush throw blanket. The collection retails for $22.99-$79.99 and is available now on Wrangler’s website.
