Navy Blue’s new album, Sir Render, arrives today. Narrated by his cousin, the late actor James Earl Jones, features the rapper’s childhood friend Earl Sweatshirt, Armand Hammer, and Mike Shabb. The song “Circa” also includes a posthumous verse from Navy Blue’s mentor, Brownsville rapper Ka. Check out the album cover and a full track list below.
The Brooklyn rapper, AKA Sage Elsesser, produced multiple songs on Sir Render and also tapped the Alchemist, Jason Wool, Shungu, and more for beats. In a press statement, Sage Elsesser shared: “The album dives into psychology’s greatest hits—embracing the shadow self, accepting duality, and knowing, ‘I am my flaws as well as my strengths.’ Sir Render has to realize the only way to beat the shadow is to embrace it. To overcome this fear, he must meet it with love.”
Sir Render follows Elsesser’s 2025 album The Sword & the Soaring. Last month, he also shared the loosie “Ocean Light (Phase 1: Prelude),” which does not appear on Sir Render.
