Wrangler Channels the 1980s for New ‘Stranger Things’ Collection

Wrangler is reuniting with “Stranger Things,” ahead of its fifth and final season premiere. The heritage brand launched a limited-edition apparel collection on Thursday, inspired by the main characters of the hit Netflix show.

The Wrangler x Stranger Things collection features 19 pieces of denim, graphic T-shirts and statement jackets, alongside seven hats and caps. Key designs reference notable series moments and character style, blending Wrangler’s heritage with “Stranger Things” visual cues. The collection also draws from the 1987 Wrangler archives and the show’s signature retro aesthetic.

“The inspiration for this collection came from an authentic place: The magic of the show ‘Stranger Things’ is how it masterfully captures the true essence of the ’80s, a decade that’s deeply woven into Wrangler’s own heritage,” Vivian Rivetti, vice president of global design for Wrangler, told WWD via statement. “We looked right into our archives and found the perfect echo of the show’s style — it was a natural fit, like stepping into a time machine together. We knew we had to team up with the folks at Netflix one last time to give the fans what they deserve: an authentic, wearable piece of Hawkins. This collaboration isn’t just fashion; it’s a tribute to the journey of the fans and the series, giving them a chance to own a piece of the story as we all get ready for the final chapter.”

Highlights include the Will Jacket, engineered for layered versatility, and the Steve Jacket, which features faux suede and classic copper snaps. The Hopper Coat revisits Wrangler’s puffer silhouette, offering a faux fur collar and functional storage. The Mike & Lucas Camo Pant is styled for utility, with multiple pockets and a camouflage print, while the Nancy Jean and Erica Jacket incorporate color and campus-inspired fits that echo fan-favorite looks from the show.

The campaign is accompanied by an ad series styled after Wrangler’s late-1980s promotional imagery, designed to provide an immersive throwback experience. Prices for the collection range from $29.99 to $189.99 and will be sold exclusively at wrangler.com and select retailers while supplies last.

“Stranger Things” season five will premiere in three volumes: four episodes drop Nov. 26, three on Christmas and a finale on New Year’s Eve, each released at 5 p.m. PT.
