Two of the top girls high school basketball players in the nation will be featuring for the Texas Longhorns next season.
Multiple sources confirmed to SB Nation that Addison Bjorn and Brihanna Crittendon will announce their commitments this week to Vic Schaefer’s program. Crittendon is expected to make her announcement Wednesday night, while Bjorn is supposed to publicly declare her college choice on Thursday morning at Park Hill South High School in Missouri.
Both are tabbed as top 10 recruits in the 2026 class by ESPN, with Crittendon checking in at No. 8 and Bjorn at No. 10.
A 6-foot-1 guard from Missouri, Bjorn helped Team USA win the U19 World Cup this past summer and was down to seven finalists, which included Duke, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Iowa, Kansas, UConn and Texas. She also held offers from UCLA, Stanford, Indiana, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Iowa State, Louisville and Kansas State. Her most recent official visit was to Kansas.
As a junior in high school, Bjorn was named the Missouri Gatorade Player of the Year last season after averaging 22 points, 11.5 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 3.3 steals per game. This past summer with Team USA, she posted averages of 6.1 points and 4.3 rebounds in about 12 minutes per game on a deep U19 roster that went 7-0 at the World Cup. Bjorn also helped Team USA win the 2024 FIBA U17 World Cup and the 2023 FIBA U16 Americas Championship.
Crittendon is a 6-foot-3 wing from Colorado who was deciding between a group of final schools that included TCU, Washington, Oregon, Colorado, Tennessee and Texas. She also held offers from N.C. State, Georgia, UCLA, Notre Dame, Clemson, Wisconsin, Cal, Stanford, Michigan, Kentucky, Maryland and Oklahoma State.
Texas, which made the Final Four last season for the first time since 2003, now has four 2026 commitments that rank inside of ESPN’s top 100 rankings. Bjorn and Crittendon join No. 20 Aaliah Spaight of Nevada and No. 57 Amalia Holguin of California.
The Longhorns are 4-0 this season and ranked fourth in the latest AP Top 25 Poll. Bjorn and Crittendon should pair nicely with star forward Madison Booker, the two-time reigning Cheryl Miller Award winner who will be a senior next season.
