WISPR Systems announced that its SkyScout 2+ has earned Green UAS Certification from the Association for Uncrewed Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI). The designation confirms the platform meets federal cybersecurity and supply-chain standards aligned with the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA).
The certification provides third-party validation that the SkyScout 2+ follows trusted manufacturing practices and secure system architecture. It positions the drone for operations in government, public safety, and regulated enterprise sectors where compliance and security are critical.
“Green UAS inclusion validates the intentional design decisions behind SkyScout 2+,” said John McArthur, Chief Revenue Officer at WISPR Systems. “From encrypted communications to secure supply-chain sourcing, the platform was engineered to meet the evolving security requirements of agencies and organizations operating in regulated environments.”

NDAA-Compliant Payload Integration
The SkyScout 2+ supports a range of NDAA-compliant payloads for mission expansion without risk to compliance. Compatible systems include the Gremsy Vio dual-sensor thermal and EO camera, Sony LR1 61MP full-frame imaging system, Teledyne EchoONE secure imaging platform, and RESEPI Ouster OS1-64 LiDAR for high-density 3D scanning. These options enable advanced mapping, surveying, and modeling within secure operational boundaries.
Engineered for Secure Deployment
Built for trusted deployment, the SkyScout 2+ features encrypted communications and domestically sourced components. Its hardened architecture, SignalShield™ EMI protection, SmartCore™ power distribution, and TempGuard™ climate control systems enhance reliability in demanding field conditions. The integrated WISPR SkyBoss™ Smart Controller provides efficient power management and responsive flight control for extended mission performance.
The SkyScout 2+ Green UAS certification reinforces WISPR Systems’ commitment to secure, American-made drone technology. The drone is available now through WISPR Systems and authorized distributors.
