Nobody likes to feel or be embarrassed, but sometimes their car choices just leave the rest of us no choice but to point out how embarrassing their choice was. That idea is what has led me to today’s question.
I want to know what you all think is the most embarrassing car on sale today. What car do you look at and say, “Oh, my God. What the hell were they thinking? Do they know how much of a dorkus they look?” Spoiler: the answer is almost always no, because the people who usually buy embarrassing cars think they can pull them off, but in reality they very much cannot.
There are tons of very embarrassing cars on sale today – cars that make those around you acutely aware that you’ve got more money than sense. One of the obvious choices is a stainless steel truck built by our friends over at Tesla, but that’s a bit too obvious, so I’m going to submit its sibling as the most embarrassing car.
You see, to me, the Tesla Model X is the most embarrassing car that is on sale today. Every time I see one with its dumbass “Falcon Wing” doors deployed, all I can do is feel a bit embarrassed for them. They’re just so dorky – dorky in ways that Tesla’s other (admittedly still dorky) cars are. This suspicious was confirmed when I had a Model X as an Uber to the airport a few days ago. I got to Terminal C at Newark, and those dumbass doors popped up for God and country to see. I was mortified, and honestly, that is what inspired this question.
