There are a lot of fun cars coming out in 2025 that we are pretty excited to see hit the highway. Cars like the Alpine A290 will add a dash of excitement to EVs and the new Porsche Boxster has some pretty big boots to fill, but in order to make space for all this newness, something old might have to go.
If you did have to prune America’s auto industry in order to make space for all the new cars coming over the next 12 months, what would you chose to chop?
That’s exactly what we want to hear from you this morning, as we want to know which cars you think deserve to die in 2025? So whether it’s an ancient design, outdated tech or just a long-running model that doesn’t deserve to grace America’s highways anymore in 2025, we want to hear all about it.
Maybe you think the Tesla Model S has run its course and needs retiring now that its minimalist stylings are looking mundane. Or, perhaps, you dare to believe that the ND Miata is getting a little long in the tooth and could do with replacing with a rotary-powered monster.
While those cars were introduced in 2012 and 2015 respectively, making them both positively pensioners in automotive terms, there is a new car you can buy today that’s even older: the Dodge Durango. Surely now that the third-generation Dodge SUV is pushing 15-years-old, it’s time for it to be taken to a farm upstate to live out the rest of its days.
But that’s just my pick for a car that’s outstayed its welcome, what models do you think are destined for the chopping block this year? Head to the comments section below to let us know the cars that you think deserve to die in 2025 and we’ll round up some of the best picks in a slideshow next week.
