Vets to Drones and Baltimore Forensics Host a Day of Hands-On Flying, Talks, and Networking

Event Overview

On Saturday, November 23, Vets to Drones and Baltimore Forensics invite veterans and public safety personnel to Oriole Park at Camden Yards for a unique, drone-centered event. Running from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., the event aims to offer veterans and public safety professionals a chance to dive into the world of drones, connect with industry experts, and gain hands-on experience.  Register here for this FREE event.

What to Expect

Participants will have the opportunity to fly drones at designated stations set up within Oriole Park and a nearby parking lot. These stations will allow attendees to test their drone-flying skills in a safe environment, guided by seasoned drone professionals. Alongside the flight activities, tables along Eutaw Street within the stadium property will feature information and demonstrations from key companies and organizations in the drone industry.

Organizers of the event noted, “Whether you are a seasoned drone pilot or just curious about drones, this event will be a unique opportunity to connect with industry experts and explore the world of drones.”

Schedule Highlights

The event welcomes public safety personnel from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., with a special time slot dedicated to veterans from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. This scheduling approach allows both groups to network and connect with experts within their respective fields.

Event Logistics

Attendees should enter through Gate A on Eutaw Street, located on the south side of the stadium. Parking will be available in Lot B, with the entrance situated on the 400 block of West Lee Street.

Lunch options will be provided during the event, allowing attendees to recharge and continue networking. More details regarding food arrangements and specific stations will be shared closer to the event date.

Drone Usage Note
To comply with Maryland Stadium Authority regulations, participants are kindly asked not to bring their own drones. Event organizers will supply drones for attendees to fly, ensuring compliance with local restrictions. However, attendees are encouraged to bring a microSD card to save any photographs or videos captured during the day.

The event features a range of exhibitors, including DRONERESPONDERS, the Law Enforcement Drone Association, NIST, George Mason University Police Department, and DroneSense, among others. These exhibitors represent a cross-section of the drone industry, providing attendees with valuable insights into different aspects of drone operations, safety protocols, and advancements in technology.
