“RuPaul’s Drag Race” is back for another season and along with it comes another season of the reality competition series’ official aftershow, “Untucked.”

Season 18 of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” features 14 new queens competing for a $200,000 cash prize and the title of “America’s Next Drag Superstar.” The current season of “Drag Race” premiered Jan. 2, with new episodes airing on MTV every Friday night at 8 p.m. ET/PT. Each episode runs for 90 minutes.

How to Watch RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 18 Online

Don’t have cable? You can livestream Season 18 online with DirecTV, a streaming service that carries more than 90 live television channels, including MTV. You can also catch up on episodes on-demand through Paramount+ (get a week-long free trial here).

Immediately following each week’s new episode of “Drag Race” will be a new episode of “RuPaul’s Drag Race: Untucked,” the Emmy Award-winning aftershow. “Untucked” airs on MTV every Friday night at 9:30 p.m. with a runtime of 30 minutes.

You can watch “Untucked” on TV with any cable package that includes MTV, or you can livestream it online with DirecTV. The popular streamer currently has a free trial offer that you can use to stream “Drag Race: Untucked” online free without cable (monthly plans start at $49.99/month after that).

You can also watch “Untucked” online with Fubo, another live TV streamer that carries an MTV feed. Fubo also has a five-day free trial that you can use to livestream “Untucked” online for free. Fubo’s free trial includes DVR, so you can record each week’s episodes to watch back on-demand whenever you want.

If you’d rather not have to keep track of your free trials and end dates, consider signing up for Philo. The streaming service offers more than 70 live TV channels that you can watch over the internet, including MTV. Your $33/month subscription price also includes access to the full HBO Max, AMC+ and discovery+ library of TV shows and movies. A bonus: Philo is currently knocking $8 off your first month of service for new users.

“Untucked” is also available to watch online through Paramount+ and Prime Video, which have all the previous seasons available to stream on-demand.

“RuPaul’s Drag Race: Untucked” returns for its 17th season in 2026. The behind-the-scenes show follows contestants immediately after their elimination from the main competition, while also offering a glimpse into the whimsical fashions and design processes to take the queens from work room to the stage. Of course, a press release from MTV promises plenty of “drama” as well, with the cast dissecting each week’s challenges and personalities in a more casual, unfiltered setting.

The House of Hidden Meanings: A Memoir

RuPaul has earned 10 Emmy nominations for Outstanding Host for a Reality or Competition Program for “Drag Race.” “Untucked,” meantime, won the Emmy Award for Outstanding Unstructured Reality Program in 2021.

Onya Nurve took home the “Drag Race” crown last season, securing her place as America’s Next Drag Superstar.
