Tyla relied on some much-needed height from D’accori’s platform shoes to wear her vintage Christian Dior spring 1998 dress, designed by John Galliano, to the 2025 Glamour Women of the Year Awards on Tuesday in New York City.

The singer stepped out onto the red carpet in the olive green Dior gown from the 1998 spring runway. The green silk brocade dress featured a delicate pearl shoulder strap detail, a cap sleeve on one arm, a low-cut neckline and a floor-length design that concealed her shoes. She decorated the look with a string of small pears wrapped around her neck.
As she walked onto and through the red carpet at The Plaza hotel, Tyla’s dress hiked up, revealing a full glimpse of her towering shoes. The “Water” singer had on D’accori’s Belle sandals in a vibrant chameleon green and retailed for around $912.

The maximalist Belle platforms featured a semi-sheen finish, which complemented the slight shine of her dress. The shoes are made from textured calfskin leather and come with an adjustable slingback that ensures a comfortable and secure fit. Five straps of differing widths hold the foot in place as the shoe’s upper balance on top of a six-inch heel.
The Belle sandals feature a pointed-toe narrow front with a sky-high platform, which provides height alongside the 150mm D’accori signature hour-glass heel. The hour-glass heel is slightly tapered toward the center and flares out into a wide, round heel. The Belle Sandals are also available in black and a metallic gray.

The shoe brand’s founder Mo D’Accori was part of Footwear News’ annual Emerging Talent list in 2023. After launching in 2021, the brand started its online business in early 2022 and the shoes have since been spotted on stars like Beyoncé Knowles-Carter, Dua Lipa, Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande, Doja Cat and Alexa Demie. At the time, D’Accori described his brand as being “bold and flamboyant or subtle and understated. The result is always a unique blend of handcrafted, artisan shoes with a contemporary edge.”
Tyla and Demi Moore were Glamour’s 2025 Global Women of the Year. The magazine’s 2025 Women of the Year honorees also included Ms. Rachel, Rachel Zegler, Pat McGrath and the women of the WNBA.
