Our high hopes for rookie receiver/corner Travis Hunter have yet to materialize this season. There is no doubt he has skills, but playing on offense and defense as a rookie in the NFL is likely a learning curve nobody could master their rookie season. But, with his ability, we can’t rule out a breakout offensive game at any point moving forward.
Below, we’ll go over Travis Hunter’s outlook in fantasy football for Week 7.
Fantasy Football analysis: Jaguars, WR, Travis Hunter
This week the 4-2 Jaguars host the 4-2 Rams as 3-point home dogs. The Rams overall defensive DVOA ranks fifth-best, while their passing DVOA ranks sixth-best. They’ve also allowed the eighth-fewest fantasy points to wide receivers on the season.
Hunter on the other hand has yet to find the end zone and is averaging 3.3 receptions for 32.8 yards per game. That’s droppable in most leagues through six games. The upside keeps him rostered, especially in deeper leagues, but he’s just not startable until we see him get more work and more production. Add in this tough matchup and it’s hard to justify starting him this week.
