TisaKorean: “lEgs In tHe aIr” Track Review

Whenever the TisaKorean song sounds like he’s flirting through the intercom of a NYC apartment building that hasn’t been renovated in decades, I’m in. Like earlier tracks “Backseat” and “Got Me Trippin,” “lEgs In tHe aIR” uses those muffled, pitch-altered vocals for a lascivious, struck-by-Cupid’s-arrow ditty that feels like scrolling through cute relationship memories in your camera roll. It just so happens that the moments that tickle Tisa’s heart the most are nearly pornographic: He’s singing about going down on his sweetheart as if it were an innocent date at the mini-golf course. And, of course, it wouldn’t be the standout track from the new Tisa album—this one is called In Silly We Trust—if the beat wasn’t on some other shit: rainbow colored slow-mo synths merged with throbbing drums that sound like you’re at an L.A. house party in 2010. It’s the kind of song that makes you want to go down the wedding aisle hitting the Dougie.
