Timothée Chalamet added a pop of color to his suited look for the red carpet premiere of “A Complete Unknown” in London on Tuesday. The Oscar-nominated actor, who plays Bob Dylan in the film, was dressed in a custom Martine Rose look.
Chalamet wore a navy blue suit with a floral button-down shirt. The suit featured a double-breasted blazer with sinuous lapels, a pocket square and black buttons on either side of the front placket. The blazer and coordinated, tapered trousers featured a lightly checkered navy pattern. Beneath the blazer, he wore a colorful shirt featuring a black base fabric with a blue and green whimsical print.
Chalamet accessorized the look with a snakeskin belt and wore a sparkling chain necklace. To complete the ensemble, he wore a pair of black patent leather shoes.
The actor was joined on the red carpet by his cast mate, Monica Barbaro, who portrays singer Joan Baez.
Barbaro wore a sleeveless black dress with a mermaid-style silhouette and a plunging neckline. The garment also included a hood detail to further add drama to the ensemble.
Along with the hooded detail, the dress boasted a shimmering broach, which was fastened to one of the two straps of Barbaro’s dress. Keeping the dress the centerpiece of her entire look, Barbaro forwent pieces of statement jewelry and favored a minimalist approach.
“A Complete Unknown,” directed by James Mangold, chronicles the meteoric rise of Bob Dylan, played by Chalamet, in early 1960s New York City. Along with Barbaro, the film also costars Elle Fanning as Sylvie Russo. The film is playing in theaters.
