All eyes were on Dan Levy when he co-hosted last night’s Emmy Awards, so his skin prep routine had to be in check. The “Schitt’s Creek” star invoked the best of the best for his glass-skin glow — the cult-favorite Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant Exfoliator.

The Demalogica Daily Microfoliant Exfoliator is a gold-standard skin care product for softening, brightening, and smoothing the skin. It launched all the way back in 2001, but holds court as a mega-viral TikTok beauty product today, with beauty lovers sharing transformative before and after results on acne-prone skin, and estheticians regularly giving the product their stamp of approval. The top-selling face exfoliant was also honored as one of the Greatest Skin Care Products of All Time by WWD for its skin-transforming benefits — and the fact that one bottle sells every 30 seconds globally.

The unique water-activated exfoliating rice powder contains a cocktail of skin-nourishing ingredients: Pore-purging salicylic acid, brightening phytic acid, and soothing oatmeal and allantoin are all included in this cult-favorite find. Its finely milled texture sloughs off dead and dry skin as it dissolves, leaving behind smoother, more radiant skin, and decreasing the visibility of dark spots over time. Unlike typical physical exfoliants, the Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant Exfoliator is gentle enough to use daily on sensitive and acne-prone skin, ensuring zero irritation or risk of micro-tears on the skin’s surface.

“This year at the Emmys, Dan Levy’s look was all about healthy, translucent, and vibrant skin,” said the star’s grooming artist Laila Hayani in a press release. Ahead of the show, she cleansed the skin with Dermalogica’s Special Cleansing Gel, a delicate, soap-free foaming wash that eliminates oil and brightens the skin with citric and alpha hydroxy acid. Then, she went in with the renowned exfoliator to buff the skin — “it also lifts facial hair to prep for a closer shave and prevent ingrown hairs,”  said Hayani. Finally, she drenched the skin with essential hydration and added radiance using the brand’s BioLumin-C Serum and Active Moist to his face and neck, following up the Phyto Nature Lifting Eye Cream to tighten and brighten his eyes before stepping in front of the cameras.

Below, stock up on Levy’s red carpet-worthy, glass-skin routine to prep for cold weather ahead.
