Thierry Conrad Reutenauer is Loewe’s New Chief Marketing Officer

A NEW CHIEF: After less than four months as Loewe’s new global communications director, Thierry Conrad Reutenauer has been promoted to chief marketing officer, effective Monday, WWD has learned.

He picks up a title previously held by Charlie Smith, who left his role as chief marketing and communications officer at Loewe late last year to join London-based smartphone-maker Nothing.

It is understood Conrad Reutenauer joins Loewe’s executive committee, with a range of functions reporting into him including art direction, arts and culture, brand and product marketing, communications and events, editorial, marketing programs, media, social media and VIP relations.

His successor as global communications director has yet to be named.

Before joining Loewe, Conrad Reutenauer was global communications director at Bottega Veneta in Milan.

The Spanish luxury brand, owned by LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton since 1996, is entering a new era under American designers Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez, who are scheduled to stage their sophomore runway show on March 6 during Paris Fashion Week.

Also during the week, Loewe is expected to unveil its second Casa flagship in Paris, on Rue Saint-Honoré.

Prior to Bottega Veneta, Conrad Reutenauer served as the PR, events and celebrities director at Chloé in Paris from 2014 to 2020.

He started his career in PR and events at PR agency Karla Otto in Paris. He holds a degree in media, corporate communications and institutional affairs from the University of Applied Sciences Utrecht, The Netherlands.
