The Rapture Announce North American and European Tour

The Rapture have announced a North American and European tour. It’s billed, in a press release, as “their first proper headline tour in 15 years,” although the Rapture did play a handful of reunion shows in 2019 and 2020. The new shows will see Luke Jenner and an as-yet-unrevealed cast of collaborators performing in September, October, and November. See the Rapture’s schedule below.

“This has been a long time coming,” Jenner said in a statement. “Years ago, when I stepped away from the band, I was needing time and space to piece together my life. I needed to fix my marriage, be there for my son, and ultimately work on myself. This tour marks a new chapter for me, one shaped by everything I’ve lived through and learned along the way. I’ve achieved everything I hoped to achieve through music, and now I get to use it to help anyone else who maybe needs it like I did back then.”

The Rapture first broke up in 2014. They released the final album of their original run, In the Grace of Your Love, in September 2011, and they have not released new music since reuniting.
