We’re only one month into 2026 and already, a contender has emerged for one of the year’s most hyped-up sneaker releases. Following an official first-look preview in January, multi-hyphenate Teyana Taylor’s upcoming Air Jordan 3 “Concrete Rose” sneaker received a full preview at a Jordan Brand launch party in Los Angeles during Grammy weekend.
According to fashion reporter Jarrod Jenkins, who shared a video of the event on his Instagram, Taylor said the theme of her previous Air Jordan 1 Zoom Cmft collaboration was centered around the rose, while the new Air Jordan 3 project hones in on the thorns. Taylor also revealed another new detail about the Air Jordan 3: the thorny rope detail can be removed in order to give the shoe a more traditional look, but it cannot be re-attached as previously believed.
Further highlights from the sneaker include a large metallic gold rose keychain and what may be the sneaker’s most striking detail: a gray, rough-textured midsole which makes Taylor’s Air Jordan 3 appear as if it’s stepped in cement. The sneaker’s typical elephant print overlays are replaced with suede that matches the rest of the green upper, while the original-styled, Nike Air-branded heel tab is given a translucent finish. A Jumpman-branded rose graphic appears on the tongue with “Tey” lettering underneath.

Taylor, who is up for the Best R&B Album Grammy for her 2025 album “Escape Room,” was one of many celebrities in attendance to celebrate the unveiling of her latest Air Jordan collaboration.
Other notable names who showed up to support Taylor’s Air Jordan 3 reveal included Kelly Rowland, Winnie Harlow, Michael B. Jordan and Big Sean.
Taylor is in the midst of a monumental start to the year, which has already included her first Golden Globes win and hosting “Saturday Night Live” for the first time. On Sunday, she’ll contend for her first Grammy for the aforementioned “Escape Room” album. And in March, the same month her Air Jordan 3 collaboration is slated to be released, Taylor is up for Best Supporting Actress for “One Battle After Another” in her first-ever Oscar nomination.
Sunday will also see Taylor appear in Jordan Brand’s new “Generational Greatness” ad alongside Niecy Nash, Napheesa Collier, Bada Lee, Aleali May, Awich, Regan Aliyah, Rhyne Howard, Isabelle Harrison and Gabby Williams. The spot will debut during the Grammy Awards.
Barring any last-minute changes, the Teyana Taylor x Air Jordan 3 Retro OG SP Concrete Rose is expected to be released on March 4 for $280 from Nike’s Snkrs app and select Jordan Brand retailers under style code IF3097-300.
