Teyana Taylor pulled double wardrobe duty for her “Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” appearance in New York City on Wednesday night, wearing two looks by Mugler and Taakk.
Upon arrival to the late-night talkshow, Taylor styled a look courtesy of Mugler’s spring 2026 ready-to-wear collection. Crafted in shades of gray and gunmetal with contrasting taut and glossy fabrics, the Mugler look featured a fitted silhouette with a high neckline and long sleeves.

The “One Battle After Another” Golden Globe Award-winner coordinated the look with square-toed, skin-tight heeled boots, which complemented the overall monochrome approach of Taylor’s attire. The spring 2026 ready-to-wear collection marked creative director Miguel Castro Freitas’ first curation with the fashion house.
The designer “leaned into the house’s tailoring heritage. His hourglass silhouettes in sober shades of camel and beige evoked Mugler’s ‘Insects’ collection, but also Martin Margiela’s spins on dressmakers’ mannequins,” Joelle Diderich wrote in WWD’s review of the collection.

Later on during her “Tonight Show” appearance, Taylor wore a tailored look by Taakk, a Japanese label founded in 2014 by designer Takuya Morikawa. The white ensemble, which Taylor wore with her gray Mugler boots, featured an architectural approach, with custom tailoring and sharp accents throughout. Taylor wore the Taakk ensemble during her performance of “Hard Part,” featuring Lucky Daye.
Taylor’s “Tonight Show” appearance comes on the heels of the actress’ first Golden Globe award win for her supporting performance in the film “One Battle After Another,” costarring Leonardo DiCaprio, Chase Infiniti, Benecio del Toro and Sean Penn.

At the Golden Globes, Taylor wore a Schiaparelli look with cutouts, featuring a “business in the front, party in the back” design vibe. More recently, the actress attended the New York City premiere of her forthcoming Netflix film “The Rip” in a look from Ashi Studio’s spring 2025 haute couture collection.
