Ahead of the 83rd Golden Globe Awards on Sunday, Hollywood’s biggest stars gathered at the Beverly Hilton on Tuesday night for Golden Eve, a new primetime special honoring the year’s Cecil B. DeMille and Carol Burnett Award recipients. Among the A-list attendees was Tessa Thompson, who hit the red carpet in sleek black Christian Louboutin heels.
The “Hedda” actress appeared to have opted for the luxury footwear house’s Miss Z patent pumps, priced at $995. Following the Pigalle and So Kate styles, the silhouette marks the latest addition to the brand’s famed footwear lineup, having launched in January 2025. Defined by an elongated toe and roomier toe box, the silhouette — which debuted on the maison’s spring 2025 runway during Paris Fashion Week — offers a more comfortable fit, complete with a newly padded insole.

Dressed by revered celebrity stylist Karla Welch, Thompson wore the sumptuous shoes with a strapless, slate gray column gown in a suiting-like fabric from Monse’s pre-fall 2026 collection. The number boasted a sculptural bodice alongside a skirt featuring a wrap-style knot at the hip. A high, off-center slit revealed Thompson’s legs, adding movement to the silhouette.
Thompson wore the dress sans jewelry (save for small diamond stud earrings), punctuating the neutral look with a bright red lip that echoed Christian Louboutin’s signature red sole. Her glossy hair was styled in a side part.

Other stars in attendance included Viola Davis, Mindy Kaling and Amanda Seyfried. Recognizing 2026 honorees Helen Mirren and Sarah Jessica Parker, the Golden Eve show will air on CBS and stream on Paramount+ Thursday at 8 p.m. ET/PT. For the ceremony on Sunday, Thompson is nominated for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture Drama for her role in “Hedda.”
