Taylor Momsen brought one of Versace’s heavier platform silhouettes to the Empire State Building on Friday, wearing the house’s Black Platform Tall Boots while promoting her new holiday album, “Taylor Momsen’s Pretty Reckless Christmas.” The visit included an indoor holiday moment and a street-level appearance in Midtown, both built around the same knee-high silhouette.

The boots are constructed from buffed black calfskin with a square platform toe and a layered sole that creates a visibly stepped front edge. A center-back zipper runs the full shaft, leaving the outer profile unbroken, while a straight block heel and rubber-injected base form the vertical line. The leather upper sits cleanly over the double platform, and the Medusa hardware remains hidden at the sole. The pair is no longer available on Versace’s site, but pairs have popped up on resale sites.

Momsen paired the boots with a black mini dress, an oversized leather jacket and sheer tights, something of a staple for the “Gossip Girl” alum. Inside, the actress and singer added a Santa hat while holding the album artwork, which nods to her early role as Cindy Lou Who in “The Grinch.”
Her appearance follows a recent stop at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductions, where she wore a similar ensemble with a black lace-up platform boot built with a high block heel, brown welt and front-zip structure beneath a slip dress and moto jacket.

The square-front platform and straight block heel place her pair within the heavier platform silhouettes circulating this fall. Demi Moore took Saint Laurent’s Nico boots — a six-inch block-heel style — to the New Yorker Festival in October. Michelle Yeoh opted for Amina Muaddi’s double-stacked Yigit boots for the Paris premiere of “Wicked: For Good,” in early November, and FKA Twigs arrived at Matières Fécales’ spring 2026 show in extreme squared-vamp platforms with industrial proportions.
Her stop at the landmark accompanied the early-November release of “Taylor Momsen’s Pretty Reckless Christmas,” the latest holiday project under her long-running Pretty Reckless catalog.
