Tanner Fletcher Spring 2025 Ready-to-Wear Runway, Fashion Show & Collection Review

Tanner Richie and Fletcher Kasell embraced the artist’s dilemma for spring 2025 by utilizing their numerous ideas to create a cohesive and whimsical collection.

“As a small business, you can’t just do everything that you want to do all at once,” Kasell said during the brand’s art gallery-like presentation. “We have all of these dreams and we’re like, ‘let’s do this and that,’ but we can’t do it all at once. It’s kind of like the growing pains going out into the collection.”

The designers played into this dilemma by creating two mismatched looks: a poplin ballgown with asymmetric ruffles and tulle and a button-up shirt with one puff sleeve, one exaggerated cuff and an unfinished ruffle.

“We’re inspired by vintage, so our dilemma is always mixing and matching different decades and pulling from different decades without being too on the nose or costume-y or mismatched,” Kasell said. “Our dilemma is all of these ideas and figuring out how to make it cohesive.”

While mismatched, the pieces had a theatrical feel that felt true to Tanner Fletcher’s DNA and gave a fun twist on classic silhouettes.

The remainder of the collection explored Tanner Fletcher’s strengths in modernizing Victorian-inspired and vintage styles. The designers introduced a toile print seen in corsets, structured tops and ballgowns, which amplified the lineup’s whimsical feel. There were new takes on the brand’s suiting, like a brown pin-striped oversize jacket, and a new version of its signature bow suit.

As bridal is a core part of the brand, the designers introduced more styles, including an ivory-hued puff sleeve dress with a drop waist. Despite the dress’ vintage elements, the piece felt fresh and in tune with today’s bridal trends.

Overall the collection offered a cohesive and new take on the brand’s vintage aesthetic and showed that the designers understand the need to give their antiquated inspirations a modern-day feel.
