Stella McCartney Teams With LeMieux on Equestrian Capsule

RIDE IN STYLE: Stella McCartney has teamed with equestrian brand LeMieux for a conscious collaboration fit for both humans and horses.

The inaugural collection features base layers and breeches in navy and lipstick red. These pieces are made with moisture-wicking UV50+ recycled nylon and come with comfort- and performance-enhancing details, such as breathable mesh paneling, sleeves with ribbed cuffs and subtle silicone knee grips.

For the comfort of the horses, the capsule offers fly hoods crocheted in organic cotton and saddle pads crafted with a recycled fabric shell in an S-Wave quilt pattern, and a natural bamboo and viscose-blend lining that’s gentle on the horse’s coat.

“Horses have been part of my story since before I was born, and they still bring me joy every single day. Working with LeMieux felt completely natural — a way to unite my love of riding with my commitment to conscious, innovative design,” said McCartney, who hosted her fall 2023 show at France’s oldest riding school, Manege Ecole Militaire, with models and ponies moving gracefully under the watchful eye of horse whisperer and rescuer Jean-François Pignon.

“This collection showcases sustainability in a modern, vegan, cruelty-free approach to equestrian wear, created with the same integrity and attention to detail I bring to every part of my brand,” added the designer, whose pre-fall 2026 collection also featured one of her favorite animals galloping across knitwear, denim and accessories.

Dan Mahoney, chief executive officer of LeMieux, said the collaboration with McCartney represents a new chapter for the brand, which was founded by former Olympic event rider Robert LeMieux and his wife Lisa in 2006.

“We’ve worked hand in hand to create something that’s both deeply authentic to the riding community and beautifully progressive in its sustainable vision. It’s a collection that honors horses, nature, and the people who ride with purpose,” he added.
