Sarah Staudinger showed her knack of creating quality essentials for spring 2025, delivering a Staud collection that offered easy styles that still exuded a luxury factor.
“Summer is a huge deal for me and the brand, and it’s one of my favorite seasons,” she said. “Spring is really the doorway to a season that awakens our soul at Staud. I really wanted to bring that feeling and that sun-soaked, adventurous energy into an earlier time in the year. There’s a boldness in color that really nods to summer, opposed to a more traditional, muted or pastel spring palette. It’s sun kissed, sleek, active and just fresh and beautiful.”
Staudinger brought this inspiration through what she called “unexpected pairings.” There was tape yarn, lightweight sweaters paired with silky floor length skirts, color-blocked dresses in brown, black and blue, and capri shorts paired with boxy dress shirts.
While described as unexpected, the styles showed Staudinger’s ability to offer fresh pieces that don’t feel trendy. Her focus on minimal details let the silhouettes, sun-kissed colors and fabrics shine through.
This fresh take was also felt through the collection’s dressier items, like a high-neck draped blue gown, a white maxi-length shift dress and a nude, iridescent floor-length dress that exuded a quiet luxury feel.
Staudinger approached the collection’s accessories in a similar way to introduce new styles in her coveted handbag and footwear categories. The designer took spring’s footwear trends head on and put her own spin to them. There were flip-flop kitten heels and ballet flats updated in a sporty Neoprene version and an unexpected plaid mesh style.
For bags, Staudinger offered a variety of leather styles that could work from day to night. Standouts included a baguette style leather bag in chocolate brown, a ’90s-inspired mesh bag and suede style designed to resemble a tulip.
Staud’s spring 2025 collection showed the designer’s knack for bringing a trendiness and cool factor to classic silhouettes.
