Someone Turned a 1969 Chevy Corvette Into a Four-Door Limo—and It’s for Sale

From Stingray to Sea Giant

The Chevrolet C3 Corvette is arguably the most visually striking among Corvette generations, drawing inspiration from the Mako Shark II concept. However, this particular build may be even more striking, as one builder stretched a 1969 model-year example into a limousine, resulting in a four-door configuration with significantly more interior space.

This C3 Corvette limousine is listed for sale on Facebook Marketplace with a 9,000-mile odometer and is described as being designed for the “family man.” While the build retains many of the original car’s design cues, it also introduces new gill-like vents positioned between the side windows, echoing the C3’s shark-inspired styling. The use of hidden door handles has also been maintained, creating a more streamlined appearance.

Familiar Lines, Unfamiliar Execution

Like the standard C3, the modified limousine retains its T-top roof, allowing sections of the roof to be removed for a convertible-like riding experience. It also keeps the Corvette’s signature quad taillights and pop-up headlights – features that were later discontinued after the fifth-generation C5 due to pedestrian-safety requirements.

Inside, the upgrades are likewise bold, highlighted by three color televisions that fold out from the dash and headliner. The cabin is also equipped with a premium sound system, four leather power-adjustable seats, and powered windows – giving passengers something close to a genuine limousine experience. Drivers, meanwhile, benefit from power brakes, power steering, and a tilt-and-telescopic steering wheel.

Other equipment includes a tuned-port fuel-injection engine, a 700R4 automatic transmission with overdrive, and, interestingly, air suspension at all four corners, which absorbs bumps more smoothly than traditional stiff springs for a more comfortable ride.

This Is Not Your Typical Used Corvette

Given the extensive modifications, it’s no surprise that the asking price sits at $98,000, whereas stock examples can typically sell for around $20,000, depending on mileage and overall condition. The vehicle is located in Santa Ana, California.

Today, limousines are no longer as popular as they once were, particularly as ride-hailing services like Waymo have emerged, and crossovers such as the Chevrolet Traverse and Toyota Grand Highlander have taken over, thanks to their practicality and usable interior space. But for those who haven’t given up on the idea of owning a limousine, this C3 Corvette-based build offers something different that may be worth considering. It is unique – or simply quirky – well-equipped, and presents what looks like a cohesive conversion.
