Sofia Vergara Goes Sheer With Aquazzura Platforms

Sofía Vergara dressed in a monochrome brown ensemble, grounded by Aquazzura heels, to attend the world premiere of Paris Hilton’s “Infinite Icon: A Visual Memoir” in Los Angeles on Tuesday, an event that welcomed Lizzo in Sofia Webster shoes and more celebrities.

Vergara, who has worn Aquazzura in the past, opted for a sheer platform sandal from the brand, specifically the Shear Sandal Plateau 130. The shoes are made from see-through mesh and suede in Espresso brown, offering textural intrigue to a silhouette featuring slender ankle straps and overlapping toe straps. The style, which retails for $1,220, also features a 130mm block heel and chunky platform. Vergara selected shoes to complement a similarly hued strapless leather dress with a fitted silhouette and sweetheart neckline.

Mesh looks from Aquazzura are popular, including the mesh iteration of the Love Affair pump style worn by the likes of Suki Waterhouse and Amal Clooney. And then there’s the floral-embroidered mesh Mon Amour pumps worn by Amanda Seyfried, to name another example.

As for Vergara’s fashion sense, she often reaches for a platform shoe style, including her trusty Loubi Queen Alta sandals from Christian Louboutin. But she’s not always wearing heels — the “America’s Got Talent” judge joined the ranks of her colleague Howie Mandel when she was announced as a brand ambassador for Skechers in late 2025. She’s starred in a campaign for Skechers’ Hands-Free Slip-ins Glide-Step styles.
