New Jersey State Senator and Republican Gubernatorial candidate, released the following statement today in response to the ongoing drone sightings over New Jersey:
“It has been weeks since residents of New Jersey began sounding the alarm over large drones hovering over their communities. Since then, the number of sightings has grown and reports have been made from all corners of the state.
The slow response by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the New Jersey Office of Homeland Security is unacceptable and requires a formal investigation. The safety and security of the residents of New Jersey is priority number one. That is why I am calling for a full public investigation of the state and federal response as soon as the source of these drones is revealed. Whether the drones are being used for benign purposes or for something nefarious, the public should not be left in the dark. It should not take weeks for answers, especially when national security and public safety could be at risk.
The State of New Jersey should issue a limited state of emergency banning all drones until the public receives an explanation regarding these multiple sightings,”
