Selena Gomez sported a closet staple — the little black dress — while promoting her new film “Emilia Perez” at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival on Sunday.
The actress selected a long-sleeve silhouette by Anine Bing, which also featured a mock neckline and padded shoulders. She accessorized with gold Monica Vinader jewelry, sheer Wolford tights and black Saint Laurent pumps.

Makeup artist Hung Vanngo gave Gomez winged eyeliner and coral blush, while hairdresser Renato Campora styled her brunette tresses with a touch of volume.
Gomez was dressed by Erin Walsh, who also styles stars like Anne Hathaway, Alison Brie and Juno Temple.

“Emilia Perez,” a new musical costarring Zoe Saldana, premiered at Cannes Film Festival earlier this year. Gomez also opted for a black dress at that event, selecting a velvet off-the-shoulder gown by Saint Laurent. Bulgari diamond jewelry and Santoni heels completed her look.
After monochrome hues had a major moment on the runways of Gucci, Chloé and Carven during their spring 2024 presentations, shades of black and white have made their way to the red carpet. Pared-down palettes were popular among attendees during awards season, with stars like Jennifer Lawrence, Carey Mulligan and Keri Russell embracing the trend at the Golden Globes and the Oscars.
The 2024 Toronto International Film Festival takes place through Sunday. Featuring a selection of both Canadian and international projects, the lineup includes Gia Coppola’s “The Last Showgirl” starring Pamela Anderson, Luca Guadagnino’s “Queer” and Pedro Almodóvar’s “The Room Next Door” with Tilda Swinton and Julianne Moore, among other films.
