Sean Tucker start or sit: Week 12 fantasy football advice

Week 12 of the 2025 NFL season rolls on and the Sunday slate will conclude with a battle of NFC playoff contenders as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers visit the Los Angeles Rams at 8:20 p.m. ET on NBC.

The Buccaneers dropped their second straight game in a 44-32 loss to the Bills last Sunday and suddenly have the Panthers breathing down their necks for the top spot in the NFC South. They did get another big day out of running back Sean Tucker as he continues to step up in Bucky Irving’s absence.

Below, we’ll go over Tucker’s outlook in fantasy football for Week 12.

Fantasy Football analysis: Buccaneers RB Sean Tucker

Tucker was pleased with his performance in last Sunday’s loss to the Bills, racking up 106 rushing yards, 34 receiving yards, and three total touchdowns to earn 30+ fantasy points in all scoring formats. The third-year back out of Syracuse has gotten an increased number of snaps over the last month in Bucky Irving’s absence and kept getting fed more and more touches throughout last Sunday’s game, outproducing fellow backup Rachaad White

Irving did practice this week, but was once again ruled out as he’s trending towards a return in next Sunday’s game against the Cardinals. That means Tucker will once again be called upon to step up on the road this afternoon and he’s expected to get a heavy dose of carries.

Start. After last week’s performance against the Bills, the green light is all the way on for managers to insert Tucker into their starting lineups this week. The Bucs will need to rely on him out of necessity and he’ll be motivated to prove why he should be a permanent fixture of the offense even after Irving’s imminent return.
