Sarah Jessica Parker balanced literary formality and her ongoing affection for crystal footwear at Clarence House on Monday, attending a reception for the Booker Prize judges and shortlisted authors in René Caovilla’s Taylor Pump 100.
The Italian-made style featured a pointed toe, 4-inch stiletto heel and a crimson-plum satin base trimmed with a narrow line of tone-on-tone crystals along the topline. Its satin surface caught light only in motion — a restrained contrast to the fully embellished pumps she wore the previous evening.

Parker paired the stilettos with a black mid-length dress featuring structured shoulders, a gathered skirt and floral sequin embroidery across the neckline. A slim velvet waistband discreetly shaped the look.
Monday’s Caovillas offered the quieter end of her current shimmering shoe run. On Sunday, she’d worn champagne satin pumps covered in crystals; weeks earlier, it was Aquazzura’s mesh heels at the New York City Ballet Gala and glossy black mary janes from her own line at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in Brooklyn.

Aquazzura and Gianvito Rossi have both introduced satin pumps edged in crystals, though some silhouettes feature more pronounced bead and crystal work. At the opposite end of the spectrum, “Wicked” star Cynthia Erivo brought shimmer to full volume on Sunday night in custom red-crystal Christian Louboutin Hot Chick pumps at London’s Soho House — a ruby-hued nod that pushed the season’s taste for tonal shine to couture level.

The reception, hosted by Queen Camilla at Clarence House, followed Sunday’s main ceremony, where author David Szalay won the 2025 Booker Prize for “Flesh.” Parker served on this year’s judging panel alongside Ayọ̀bámi Adébáyọ̀, Chris Power and Kiley Reid.
