Sarah Ferguson Embraces Color Blocking for Knights of Charity Gala

Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, wore a dress courtesy of London-based brand Safiyaa for the Knights of Charity Gala on Thursday at Château de la Croix-des-Gardes in Cannes, France.

Ferguson wore the Dara jewel green long dress. The look featured a square neckline with lotus sleeve draping, complemented by hints of a wild strawberry shade against a jewel green tone, creating a colorblocking design. The dress was constructed with heavy crepe material.

Ferguson coordinated the dress with another pop of pink with a clutch courtesy of Furla. She accessorized her dress with delicate pieces of jewelry, including bracelets, drop earrings and a timepiece.

Safiyaa is a designer Ferguson turned to for the 2024 edition of the Knights of Charity Gala event. The royal previously wore a black and ivory heavy crepe Safiyaa design with a raised collar and a shoulder cape with a back drape detail.

Ferguson’s 2024 look was further accentuated by a pair of black opera gloves and a small black bag. The Duchess of York wore the 2024 Safiyaa design roughly one week after Kate Middleton turned to the London-based designer for her attire to The Championships, Wimbledon.

For the 2024 Wimbledon gentleman’s singles final, Middleton wore the Celia lilac midi dress from the label. By wearing the dress for the high-profile public occasion, Middleton generated $4.8 million in media impact value for label, according to Launchmetrics.
