Salma Hayek Pinault attended to her official duties as co-chair of Kering’s Caring for Women Dinner with a touch of Art Deco elegance in New York City on Monday.
The “Without Blood” star arrived to the event in a bespoke Gucci dress with nods to Art Deco style. The gown featured a delicate sheer layer with pinstriped black sequins over a neutral layer. Gathering at the bust, the sequins formed a subtle corset-like bodice. The skirt of the dress featured a slit on the back, revealing her black platform sandals.
It was the actress’s statement necklace, a piece from Boucheron, that proved the Art Deco is in the details. She wore the Ondes Necklace, an intricate shoulder-to-shoulder piece crafted with diamonds set on white gold in concentric circles.
Her collection also included the obsidian Ecume ring, the square Graphique ring, which features Onyx and the Vendôme Liseré earrings, emerald-cut diamonds and black lacquer on white gold. Each of her pieces harkens the Art Deco era with their bold geometric touches, dramatic, bold hues and luxury materials.
Boucheron, established in 1858 by Frédéric Boucheron, is a French jeweler known for pieces crafted for clients like the Astors and Vanderbilts. Boucheron’s designs often incorporate textile motifs, like the one Hayek Pinault displayed with the orbital Ondes necklace. Under Claire Choisne, the brand continues with collections like “The Power of Couture,” inspired by ceremonial attire.
The annual New York event, launched in 2022, drew a host of celebrities to support organizations focused on combating gender-based violence. This year’s beneficiaries included Girl Effect, It’s On Us and the National Network to End Domestic Violence. In addition to Hayek Pinault, the dinner was cohosted François-Henri Pinault, Camila Alves McConaughey, Matthew McConaughey, Carmelo Anthony, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Urs Fischer, Kim Kardashian, Donatella Versace, Naomi Watts and Billy Crudup.
