Sabrina Carpenter paid homage to the flashy girl from Flushing while out in New York on Tuesday. The “Taste” singer wore what looked to be a replica of Fran Fine’s outfit from the pilot of “The Nanny,” a Lillie Rubin skirt suit featuring leopard print buttons and trim. Fran Drescher played the titular character in CBS‘ hit sitcom, which ran for six seasons.
Carpenter completed her ’90s-inspired look with sheer tights, diamond studs, a small briefcase and sky-high platforms. Stylist Jared Ellner, who also counts Emma Chamberlain and Rachel Sennott as clients, dressed the Grammy nominee for her Big Apple outing.
Carpenter wore her bouncy blond tresses in loose curls with curtain bangs, while her makeup included shimmery eye shadow, rosy blush and a mauve lip.
At the premiere of her new Netflix special, “A Nonsense Christmas,” on Friday, Carpenter pulled a look from the Chanel archives. Designed by the late Karl Lagerfeld, her black and white ensemble came from the label’s fall 1994 collection. Originally modeled by Naomi Campbell, it consists of a fur-trimmed dress and matching cropped jacket.
On Sunday, the former Disney Channel star revealed the latest fragrance from her line Sweet Tooth.
“Soft skin and I perfumed it for ya,” Carpenter wrote on Instagram. “This one has become my new staple and obsession.”
Me Espresso, packaged in a pale blue chocolate bar-shaped bottle, borrows its name from her hit single. “Espresso,” featured on Carpenter’s sixth album “Short n’ Sweet,” is nominated for three Grammys, including Record of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance.
