Ryder Cup captain Keegan Bradley makes another ace at The Players

Keegan Bradley knew 2025 would be a special year for him personally and professionally, considering he will lead the Ryder Cup team at Bethpage Black this fall.

But he has had a remarkable first few weeks already. Not only does he have two top-10 finishes, but the Captain now has a pair of holes-in-one.

Exactly one month after making an ace on the par-3 3rd hole at Torrey Pines South during the final round of the Genesis Invitational, Bradley made a hole-in-one on the par-3 13th hole at TPC Sawgrass.

Once again, tournament officials placed the pin in its traditional Sunday hole location on the 13th: four paces off the left and 19 from the front. It sits dangerously close to the water, making it a nerve-wracking tee shot, but the green slopes severely from right to left towards the pin. Typically, players will fire towards the middle of the green, hoping the ball will roll down the hill to the hole. In that sense, it’s similar to the 16th hole at Augusta National.

But Bradley decided to fire right at the flag and ignore the undulation altogether. He took dead aim at the stick, and the move to do so paid off. Bradley’s ball landed about two feet right of the cup, took a couple of hops, and spun into the hole.

Now he has to buy drinks for the media center again, a classy gesture he made in San Diego four weeks ago.

Bradley’s ace got him to 6-under for the championship, five back of the lead as of this writing.
