Russell Henley took the Arnold Palmer Invitational with an eagle

Russell Henley emerged victorious at Bay Hill, giving him a signature win at the Arnold Palmer Invitational. He will surely feel good about his game heading into The Players.

Henley began Sunday’s final round at 9-under par, one shot back of then-leader Collin Morikawa. It was a breezy day and scoring opportunities were rare. This duo, who comprised the final pairing, headed into the 16th with the same score they started the round with.

It was at that point when things turned upside down. Henley chipped in from off the green, holing out for an eagle to grab his first lead of the day.

Despite efforts from Morikawa, he could not regain the lead over the final two holes, leaving Henley to celebrate. It marked his first win on Tour since the World Wide Technology Championship in the fall of 2022, so it has been a minute to say the least.

Henley has been hot so far in 2025. The Arnold Palmer Invitational marked his sixth event of the season, and while this is his only win, it is his fourth top 10 finish.

Kudos to him for pulling off the shot he needed when it counted the most.
